If I had to choose one absolute favourite item of clothing in my closet, it would be without a doubt my favourite black hoodie. Styles come and go, but I believe that a black hoodie is an essential wardrobe item. Mine is a well-made and relatively pricey one, but since I wear it almost every day and I couldn’t imagine my life without it, it is certainly worth the investment.

So why do I think black hoodies are awesome and everyone should have at least one? Here are a few reasons:

• A black hoodie matches everything. Jeans? Absolutely. Cargo pants? Why not? No matter what you wear, a simple black hoodie is guaranteed not to clash. Didn’t you hear, black is the new black!
• You can show off your passions and interests. There are so many different hoodies with band names, sayings, clubs, concert tours, festivals, films, TV shows or brand names printed on them that no matter what your interests are you can literally “wear them on your sleeve”.
• Black hoodies look cool. Wearing black makes you look at bit mysterious and dangerous, which can only add to your sex appeal.
• A Black hoodie works for everyone. They will look good on you whether you are a punk with a pierced nose, a pale skinned goth, a science geek or a sexy cheerleader. (Although, most things look good on a sexy cheerleader…)

These are just a few reasons why a simple black hoodie is my favourite item of clothing!
